Receiving a shipment with a Saga™ logger

  1. Press and hold the stop button controlant saga logger stop button for 5-8 seconds.

    The shipment LED controlant saga logger shipment led lights up when the device registers the button press as valid and remains on for 3 seconds. The lit-up LED light means that you can release the button. After the release of the button, the shipment LED switches off completely.

    Shipping mode should change to "Stopping" or "Stopped".

  2. Check the battery status.

    1. If the level is over 10%, go to step 3.

    2. If the display shows Low Power Mode, charge the device until it reaches the required battery level to function. To fully charge a device, you need to charge it until the display shows 100% next to the battery with a flash icon. Charging the device

  3. Check the cloud connection status.

    1. If the cloud connection is OK, as indicated by a cloud icon with a checkmark SL_icon_successful_cloud_connection, please proceed to step 4.

    2. If the connection failed, as indicated by a cloud icon with an X SL_icon_failed_cloud_connection, try waking up the device by connecting it to a charging station provided by Controlant, a USB charging adapter, or a computer USB port, then disconnect and wait for 10 minutes to see if the device can connect to the cloud. If the cloud icon with an X or the syncing icon SL_icon_syncing_display continues to be displayed, please contact support@controlant.com, stating the location (country) and device ID number.

  4. Check the alarm status.

    1. If the alarm status is OK, which means there is no alarm icon on the display and the alarm LED is not blinking, please go to step 5.

    2. If the alarm icon SL_alarm_status_icon appears in the top right corner of the display and the alarm LED Alarm LED blinks every 5 seconds, a temperature excursion has occurred. Check your organization’s SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) to act accordingly.

  5. Always place the device in the assigned area for Controlant devices, as they are reusable. Follow the SOP to return the devices accordingly.
